Pour celles (et ceux ?) qui me suivent un peu, vous ne découvrez pas le mot « Chopaderos ». Petits rappels ici et là néanmoins.
Nous sommes partis à Toronto (Canada) puis à Long Beach (New York), à l’occasion d’un rassemblement international de Chopaderos, dont mon copain fait partie depuis plus de 5 ans maintenant. Une grande famille en somme; nous étions trois français entourés d’allemands, de néerlandais, de finlandais, d’australiens et évidemment de canadiens et nord-américains. Une bonne quarantaine de personnes, toutes venues dans le même but : rouler sur des vélos custom et uniques, afin de passer de bonnes vacances dans une ambiance cool et enjouée.
Pari réussi, puisque l’organisation de ce ride de 3 jours à Toronto a été plus que parfaite ! Nos hôtes avaient pensé à tout : une page d’event Facebook créée en amont, pour nous tenir tous informés des détails de ce cruise, un t-shirt et un patch de l’événement (à coudre sur sa veste pour les Chopaderos), des fiches jour par jour de l’emploi du temps + la carte de notre itinéraire avec les stops (contenant les lieux des bars).
Bref, ils n’avaient rien oublié, les vélos qu’on nous a prêtés pour l’occasion étaient vraiment cool et j’ai adoré avec un panier sur le mien. Il semblerait que je sois la plus « girly » des rares Choparetta (les filles Chopaderos) en tout cas la moins tatouée et celle qui a toujours son rouge à lèvres impeccable, même à 2h du matin. Évidemment, je me fais pas mal charrier gentiment par tout le monde, mais c’est toujours drôle et je suis la première à rire de moi, en toute circonstance.
Je regrette d’avoir dû tant trier parmi les (très) nombreuses photos que j’ai prises durant cette semaine dans l’Ontario, Canada. Beaucoup de rire, de bières, de plongeons dans la piscine de Trish (Hey, Trish !!), de danses improvisées dans la rue, de toats portés dans toutes les langues (« Kippis » en finlandais !) de balades à vélo le nez au vent, l’appareil photo autour du cou (cap’ de tenir le guidon d’une seule main) et de barbecue : plus qu’un réflexe là bas, un art de vivre ! For those who follow me, you’re not discovering the word « Chopaderos ». Nonetheless here are two reminders here and there.
We went to Toronto (Canada) and Long Beach (New York), on the occasion of an international gathering of Chopaderos, including my boyfriend who is part of it for 5 years now. A large family, we were three French surrounded by German, Dutch, Finnish, Australian and obviously Canadian and North American. A good forty people, all came for the same purpose : riding custom and unique bikes to enjoy our holidays in a cool and playful atmosphere.
Mission accomplished, as the organization of the 3 days ride in Toronto was more than perfect ! Our hosts had thought of everything : a Facebook event page created upstream, to keep us all informed of the details of this cruise, a shirt and a patch of the event (to sew on your jacket for the Chopaderos) day by day schedule sheets + the map of our route with stops (containing locations of bars).
In short, they didn’t forget anything, bicycles which were loaned for the occasion were really cool and I loved mine with a basket on. It seems that I’m the most « girly » of the Choparetta (Chopaderos girls) in any case less tattooed and one that still has its impeccable red lips, even at 2 A.M. Obviously, they all gently mock me, but it’s always really funny and I’m the first to laugh at myself in all circumstances.
I regret having to sort through among (very) many photos I took during this week in Ontario, Canada. Tons of laughter, beer, dive into Trish’s pool (Hey, Trish!), improvised dance in the street, « Cheers » in all languages ​​(« Kippis » in Finnish !) bike rides hair in the wind, camera around the neck (able to hold the handlebar with one hand) and barbecue : more than a reflex there, a lifestyle !
