Vienne #2

I’ll try to depend a bit more my felt about Vienna.

The first thing which struck us, from our arrival in town, was the discipline of the pedestrians in pedestrian crossings. They ALL wait for the green « GO ». What didn’t miss to leave us respectful to this practice with the opposite of ours, Parisian, always in a hurry and 300 % disrespectful of EVERYTHING.
In Prague, Amsterdam and Berlin also, people are respectful and appropriate : their streets are clean, there are no dog mess, and people speak all a better English than us (« Oh, you’ re french? they all always answers us, when we ask for our way/something/some crack…).
Our so frenchy accent always betrays us, us froggies!

I confess that we consumed nothing typical, in Vienna : neither Schnitzel, nor Goulash, nor Sachertorte, nor Pretzels…. The last day, we shared a part of Chocolate cake, too much cream inside.
On the other hand, breakfast in our hotel was really great & huge, a delight every morning !

Here is thus my second article + photos, I hope that this will please you :)

Guten Tag Wien !

FishEye + Waterproof = Argentic photos

Films developed !
I’m not patient of nature, to finish these films (36 and 27 photos), giving them to develop and waiting to recover photographs…arg! A torture.
I laugh out so loud in the street, by discovering the FishEye photos : that deforms so much !!
A large puff of emotion by seeing the subaqueous photos taken in Bali, in September 2009 and this summer in Perpignan.
These photos are not improved, I just scanned them : I’m therfore really surprised of all these beautiful colors, these blurs and these tasks on the objective, which return so well !

A few more photos from my long weekend in the south of France…I’m still waiting for my argentic photos, by the way. So I guess ther’ll be a « Tiny Holidays #3″.

Tiny holidays

I just come back after four days under the sun, at my boyfriend’s parents home, in the extreme South of France.
The swimming pool behind the kitchen garden (eggplants, tomatoes, strawberries, figs…) and the sea 30 minutes away by car (words of songs remixed and sang loud and giggles form morning to night), a very good way of finishing the summer.
Small medley of this long weekend : the argentic photos of my Fish Eye and my waterproof camera will follow (they’ll be the subject of a next article) !

On the last day, we went to the Couvent des Minimes, to see an bit of the enormous exhibition VISA for the image : the biggest international festival of photojournalism, which takes place every year in Perpignan.
Shocking photos, emotionally hard, unusual, sometimes unbearable…the current events of the World in images.
Some are still engraved in my retina, so I remained upset and shocked.

If you pass by Perpignan before September 12th, it’s inescapable.
